Under the current situation, it is time-consuming for a guide dog to learn the route to a new destination. Besides, the visually impaired person has limited information about any obstacles ahead even when accompanied by a guide dog. The venture aims to promote social inclusion by helping the visually impaired persons travel more independently in different circumstances. It proposes a computer vision and mobile computing solution for navigation to be carried by a guide dog. The digital camera on the device captures the situation ahead while the visually impaired user can inquire about and get relevant information through the vocal communication function in order to give the corresponding command to the guide dog.
