The venture will develop a disease management system with Artificial Intelligence to facilitate early diagnosis of Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) in the community and empower the public for disease self-management.  It aims at reducing the treatment cost, improving the treatment outcome and establishing the cohesive interplay between primary and secondary healthcare.

The system comprises two components, a community-based KOA prognostic system to facilitate early detection of KOA and a KOA patient self-management mobile application to enable KOA patients to record and monitor their treatment progress. The early detected patients with mild symptoms will be taken care by a personalised therapeutic plan in support of their self-management rehabilitation process.
